They Wait
SYNOPSIS
Inspired by true events, THEY WAIT tells the terrifying tale of one family's life-threatening encounter with angry spirits during Ghost Month. Much like Hallowe'en in North America, Ghost Month (or Hungry Ghost Festival) has been revered in China for generations, but it is much more than a children's celebration. Some believe that, during the seventh lunar month, the gates of Hell open and angry ghosts can become demons. Ghost Month is the only time of year when the realm of the living intersects with the realm of the dead, and the world is thrown into madness.
